artwork by Leah T., Grade 7

Thank you to all who participated in the Haiku Contest for 7th graders! We received many

Secrets slip past Snapple cans
Fingers slick with grease

No lunch is silent
Sentences spiral in air
Far too much to say

People are yelling
Surrounding me with their screams
Waiting for the bell
